What does Reinhardt Use for Email?

  • Reinhardt use Novell's GroupWise for campus email for faculty, staff and students. For more information on email see the Email FAQ.

What does Reinhardt use for Network Storage?

  • Reinhardt uses Novell for network file sharing and computer access.

Should I install Novell on my personal computer? 

  • No, Novell is only used for college owned computers.

Is there a campus backbone network?

  • The backbone network has miles of installed fiber optic cable. Each building is connected to the fiber optic cable through a combination of 10 MB Ethernet, 100MB and Gigabit (1000MB) network connections. 

How is the campus network connected to the Internet? 

  • The network (including the North Fulton location) is attached to the Internet via six T1 (1.5MB) links, three for students and three for faculty and staff.

May I install a wireless networking device in my room?
