Spring Into Green
Spring Into Green is a month-long campaign to promote going green amongst the Reinhardt College community. Initiatives will include efforts on conserving water, reusing and reducing your carbon footprint and educating the community on environmental awareness.
Tentative Schedule of Spring Into Green Events:
Tues., March 16:

Dumpster Day, 2- 5 p.m., Hasty Lawn - a swap meet of items you don't want anymore. Leftovers go to MUST Ministries.

Mon., March 23:

Spring Into Green Kick Off Concert, 11-1 p.m., Hasty Lawn; "No Tray Day" - trayless dining in Gordy Dining Hall

Sat., March 28:

Earth Hour 2009, 8:30 pm - When all lights are shut off for one hour all over the country.

Wed., April 1:
|
Scavenger Hunt - This photo-hunt type of event will last all day.

Thurs., April 2:
|
Chestnut Tree Seedling Planting, afternoon - Reinhardt has been chosen to grow a hybrid of this endangered tree species.

Birdhouse Painting, time TBA, Bannister Glasshouse

Wed., April 8:
|
Easter Egg Hunt, time TBA - Winner gets a reusable bag with organic candies.

Week of Apr 13:

Community Service Project - in conjunction with the Make-a-Wish Foundation.

Mon., April 20:

Sidewalk Chalk Drawings, Hasty Lawn - Students will draw earth related pictures, recycle, etc.

Wed., April 22:
|
Earth Day Fair, 11 a.m.- 1 p.m., Hasty Lawn (weather permitting); plant sale, clean water campaign, art contest entries due at noon.
