The beginning of fall will be a special time for Reinhardt University. Alumni and friends are invited to the Waleska campus to join current students, faculty and staff Homecoming 2015. Homecoming Weekend includes the Talent Show, Football Game, Alumni Reunions, Tailgate and much more.

We hope you will join us for a time of fun, fellowship and good food and remember to mark your calendars now!

Monday, October 19

4 PM-6PM               Women’s Volleyball vs. Dalton State College, Brown Athletic Center
Come see the Reinhardt University Women’s Volleyball team as they take on Dalton State College. October is Breast Cancer Awareness month, which also means you're probably seeing a lot of pink! Reinhardt University's Women’s Volleyball team is raising awareness for the fight against breast cancer by hosting a "Pink Out" for this game. The team will be in pink and fans are encouraged to wear their pink as well.

8:30 PM-12 AM              Pep Rally & Block Party, Hasty Student Life Center, Plaza
Let's Kick off Homecoming Week with a Pep Rally & Block Party on the Hasty Plaza!! The Screaming Eagles, SOAR, The Eagle along with Lady SOAR, the cheerleaders, and the football team will be on hand to get you fired up for the big game. Students, don't forget to pick-up your official "Gold Out" the game Homecoming T-shirt at the Pep Rally so that the stands will be awash in gold for Saturday's football game. Immediately following the Pep Rally there will be Block Party with music, free food, vendors, games and so much more!

Tuesday, October 20

Come see the Reinhardt University Men’s Soccer team play against Talladega College.

9 PM            Eagle Cinema Presents: “Minions”, Bannister Glasshouse
Join the Student Activities Council for a movie night featuring “Minions”. Popcorn and drinks will be provided.

Wednesday, October 21

2 PM-4 PM             Women’s Soccer v. Columbia (SC) College, Brown Athletic Center
Come see the Reinhardt University Women’s Soccer team play against Columbia College. Show your school pride and wear your navy blue and gold at the game!

Thursday, October 22

11 AM-1 PM      Mask Making Contest, Hasty Student Life Center, Plaza
What’s a carnival without a festive mask? Join the Student Activities Council on the plaza to make your own mask! Bring your artistic abilities and we’ll bring all of the accessories!

5:15 PM-6:15 PM      Group Exercise: Zumba, Brown Athletic Center (Room 214)
In combination with Hispanic Heritage Month, Group Exercise, and Homecoming Committee, it's time to shake your bum bum and burn off serious calories as we dance to the latin rhythms! We'll have free smoothies courtesy of Planet Smoothie afterwards to help you replenish and rejuvenate. Bring a friend!

9 PM     RU Green Outdoor Movie Night: "Just Eat It: A Food Waste Story", Bannister Glasshouse
Just Eat It is a 74-minute documentary film about food waste and food rescue by Peg Leg Films in partnership with British Columbia's Knowledge Network. Film Plot: We all love food. As a society, we devour countless cooking shows, culinary magazines and foodie blogs. So how could we possibly be throwing nearly 50% of it in the trash? Filmmakers and food lovers Jen and Grant dive into the issue of waste from farm, through retail, all the way to the back of their own fridge. After catching a glimpse of the billions of dollars of good food that is tossed each year in North America, they pledge to quit grocery shopping and survive only on discarded food. 3 PM-5 PM              Dedication and Open House of the JoEllen Bell Wilson ’61 Office of Advancement, Office of Advancement (across Hwy 140 from Waleska UMC)
Attend the Dedication and Open House of the new JoEllen Bell Wilson ’61 Office of Advancement, which includes a new Reinhardt Welcome Center, as well as offices for advancement, fund raising and alumni relations.  The program will begin at 4pm.   Please contact Janna Moore at 770-720-5621 for more information

7 PM-9 PM             Talent Show, Falany Performing Arts Center
Our Annual Talent Show is here again! Join your talented RU Students as they compete to be the winners of the 2015 RU Talent Show w/ Special Guest Host, Student Body President, Jamie Palmer! Enjoy an evening of entertainment at the Student Talent Show! Whether your student performs or not, you are sure to take pleasure in this event. Because there is limited seating in the Concert Hall of the Falany Performing Arts Center, we recommend that you arrive early as seating is on a first come, first serve basis.

Saturday, October 24

9 AM-12 PM            RU Ultimate Tailgate Experience, Rollins Wellness Complex Parking Lot
Waffle House Food TruckTailgating is rapidly becoming a Reinhardt tradition before the Eagles take the field. Nothing could be better than gathering with friends before home football games, so come join us for a Homecoming Ultimate Tailgate Experience. This experience will include free food, music, inflatable attractions and a variety of booths and activities hosted by student organizations. What is a tailgate without great food? Come check out the Waffle House Food Truck which will provide a wonderful free breakfast for students, alumni, families and guests. Spaces for tailgating are available on a first come, first served basis starting 4 hours prior to kick-off. Groups may bring their own picnic items and food to the tailgate parking area. Tailgating is a vibrant and family friendly environment. Please be respectful of those surrounding you. All groups are responsible for making sure their tailgating area is cleaned prior to departing for the game.

9:30 AM           Show Your Eagle Spirit During "Eagle Flight" - lining the walkway from the athletic parking lot to the ticket booth
Reinhardt University is establishing a new game day tradition called “Eagle Flight”.  Similar to the Jacket Walk (GA Tech), Dog Walk (UGA), Tiger Walk (Auburn), and the Walk of Champions (Ole Miss), the idea is to have a pre-game ritual where the football team, cheerleaders, marching band and mascots take a “Walk” through RU fans as they move from the Brown Athletic Center to the Isherwood Field House approximately two hours before kickoff. 9 AM-12 NOON      Silver Anniversary Class of 1990 Reunion, Boring Sports Complex
A private tailgating luncheon complements of the Alumni Office. Classmates will receive a Silver Anniversary Medallion commemorating the occasion and will be recognized during the half-time program at the football game.

12 PM-2 PM            Football Game vs. Lindsey Wilson College, Athletic Fields
Come out and Cheer the Eagles to victory as they take on the Lindsey Wilson College Raiders. During halftime, the 2015 Homecoming Court will be presentation and the Homecoming Queen and King will be crowned. Don't forget to "Gold Out" the game! RU Fans are encouraged to wear gold to show their Eagle Pride. For football tickets >

9 PM-12 MIDNITE            Homecoming Dance Featuring Xperimento Band, Bannister Glasshouse
Wrap-up our Homecoming celebration with your fellow Eagles and dance the night away at the Homecoming Dance and Concert “A Night in Rio”, brought to you by Student Activities Council. The Homecoming Dance features the Latin, reggae and urban soul group Xperimento.

Every semester, the School of Performing Arts showcases its talented faculty during these Sunday afternoon concerts. The School of Performing Arts faculty are not only highly qualified instructors, but also skilled musicians who perform locally, nationally, and internationally.
