Their dedication to education has continued over the last 133 years growing stronger year-after-year. As we celebrate Homecoming 2016, we embrace the Legends of Reinhardt beginning with these two remarkable men more than a century ago.

You are invited back home to Reinhardt where you’ll see and experience many wonderful changes on campus. And, you’ll enjoy the activities of the weekend and to connect with fellow Eagle alumni, current students, faculty and staff. This is one homecoming you don’t want to miss. Rice goes first! Stop Hunger Now is a high energy service project whose hallmark is fun. Reinhardt has pledged to prepare over 15,000 meals for hungry families around the world in just two hours.

9:00 p.m.

   Moonlight Madness

Brown Athletic Center

Get excited for Basketball season by watching the men’s and women’s teams as you have never seen them before! You will cheer on the teams, coaches, faculty, and staff as they play a variety of games and show off their skills. You will even get to compete for prizes! The first 100 people to arrive will receive a free T-shirt!

   Ministry Fair

Reinhardt University Religious Life and Student Activities encourage you to become a legend in the world through ministry. Local mission organizations, local churches, and seminaries will be on campus to engage with you about ministry opportunities through service and education. Weekly campus worship begins directly following the Ministry Fair.

Bring chairs and blankets and join us for one of our favorite events – Movie on the Lawn. Always a popular experience among our students, this event involves a giant move screen, a classic, and theatre snacks.    Trunk or Treat

Hagan Chapel Parking Lot

Co-hosted by Waleska UMC, the City of Waleska, and Reinhardt University, the Trunk-or-Treat provides a safe and fun environment for community members and their children to trick-or-treat and enjoy some Halloween fun! The Waleska Community Trunk-or-Treat will be held in the parking lot between Hagan Chapel and the Falany Performing Arts Center. There will be plenty of trunks decorated and full of candy for all community children to visit and receive Halloween treats. To register your organization, email Rev. Tim Emmett at

   Art Show Opening. False Face: An Art Show About Masked Identities

Join us for the annual Pep Rally & Block Party on the Hasty Plaza! The Screaming Eagles, SOAR, The Eagle along with Lady SOAR, the cheerleaders, and the football team will be on hand to get you fired up for the big game. Immediately following the Pep Rally there will be Block Party with music, free food, vendors, games and so much more!

Join us as we celebrate and recognize the legacy of Dr. and Mrs. J Rowland Burgess by permanently placing their portraits in the lobby of the administration building and unveil the Burgess name atop the building.

Tailgating is rapidly becoming a Reinhardt tradition before the Eagles take the field. Spaces for tailgating are available on a first come, first served basis starting at 8:00 a.m. Groups may bring their own picnic items and food to the tailgate parking area. All groups are responsible for making sure their tailgating area is cleaned prior to departing for the game. To reserve a tailgating location for your organization, visit
