Madam Butterfly presented by the Peach State Opera

Become immersed in the feelings of love and anguish as the Peach State Opera performs Puccini's "Madame Butterfly."  This heart-wrenching story of a beautiful geisha girl  and her American naval lieutenant never grows old. The powerful music to convey the unwavering love of the young Japanese bride as she waits for the return of her husband is sure to impress.  The clash of cultures, faith and the ultimate betrayal inspire this story.  Enjoy some of opera's most remarkable and beautiful music. The Falany Performing Arts Center is delighted to host the Peach State Opera as they bring his powerful story to life.  As proven through their Opera Workshop, held during the summer of 2012, the Peach State Opera's talented artists always produce a wonderful show.
