Robert Belinic, Classical Guitarist

By the age of 8, Robert Belinic was becoming a national celebrity in his home country of Croatia as the child star of "Tale from Croatia," the first film released in the newly-independent country. In 2002 he received the Ivo Vuljevic Award for outstanding young Croatian musicians and was a prize winner of the 2006 Parkening International Guitar Competition in California. Other awards include the Young Concert Artists European Auditions in German; where, he later became the first guitarist to ever win the Young Concert Artists International Auditions in New York.
Having performed internationally, Robert Belinic now comes to North Georgia, performing at the Falany Performing Arts Center. In this intimate concert hall, with its wonderful acoustics meant for such performances, the classical guitarist will shine. No stranger to the stage, Belinic has also performed Rodrigo's Concierto de Aranjuez in 2008 with the Orchestra of St. Luke's, conducted by Michael Stern, and a solo recital at the Morgan Library and Museum.
