U.S. Army Ground Forces Concert Band returns to the Falany Performing Arts Center stage
The Falany Performing Arts Center is excited to announce that the Grammy Award-winning Atlanta Symphony Orchestra presented a wonderful concert on the Center's concert stage on August 13. The concert provided an exciting opening to the 2010-2011 season at Reinhardt's Falany Performing Arts Center
In addition, Center staff is happy to confirm that their request for a performance by the Army Ground Forces Band was approved. The concert band, which performed at the Center in 2003, 2006 and 2007, returns again to the Center stage on Tuesday, August 24. The free concert will begin at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are not required for this concert.
Tickets to all events that are not free (except the annual University Christmas Concert) are now on sale. Tickets for the University's Christmas Concert will go on sale on September 13, 2010.
The Entertainment Series includes theatre, dance, comedy, nostalgia programs and tributes to memorable figures and artists. This year the series includes "Swing for Victory," a nostalgic look back at the music, dance and styles of the 1940s; a tribute to Frank Sinatra - "Sinatra Forever" featuring Rick Michel; a Branson Christmas on the Road; "Mark Twain on Stage" and "A Closer Walk with Patsy Cline," plus more. Some of these shows will be presented twice. For Season Tickets with the matinee or 1st performance (option 1) or the evening performance or 2nd show (option 2), you may purchase the desired season.
The Concert Artist Series brings world-class international prize-winning musicians to enrich the cultural experience of the College’s music majors, as well as our community. The Georgia Artist Series showcases of the state’s finest ensembles and artists. Hotlanta Dixieland Jazz Band starts us off again this year. In addition, we will have Christopher Sarzen on piano, Tara Winds, the Golden Bells of Atlanta and more. Season Ticket option 1. Season Ticket option 2.
If you want to buy tickets to all events in the Entertainment, Concert Artist and Georgia Artist Series, the full season option 1 with matinees or first performance of each event and option 2, with evening or second performance of each event with multiple shows are available.
The Eulene Holmes Murray Department of Music Series features performances by Reinhardt's talented music students and organizations.You can buy tickets to the entire season, a series, or selected performances.
