Shalyn Hernandez

Director of Residence Life

Shalyn Hernandez grew up in Ellijay, Georgia before studying English and Political Science at Berry College, where she was a Resident Assistant for 3 years. After graduating from Berry, she worked for two years as a youth director before coming to work as a Residence Life Coordinator at Reinhardt in July 2007. Shalyn's interests include being an aunt, photography, writing, reading good literature,traveling, and spending time with friends and family.

Jason Bretch

Residence Life Coordinator for Cobb, Paul Jones Hall, and Hubbard Halls

Jason Bretch came to Reinhardt this July after spending a year working as a Residence Life Coordinator at North Carolina Weslyan College in Rocky Mount, North Carolina. After graduating with a Bachelors degree in History from the University of Tennessee, Jason went on to obtain a Master's Degree in Higher Education Administration from Georgia Southern University. Jason enjoys random trivia, wearing flashy pants on Fridays, and hanging out with his wife, Allyson Dewell.

Christy McGraw

Residence Life Coordinator for Gordy Hall

Christy came to Reinhardt in October 2012 after spending the last 7 years working for a nonprofit organization as a counselor for teens. She obtained her degree in Counseling Psychology from Toccoa Falls College. Her experiences as an RA at TFC and having amazing Resident Directors inspired her to begin a career in residence life and she is enjoying every moment. Christy’s interests include spending time with her family and friends, spoiling her niece, getting lost in a good story, all things British, and embracing a life of adventure.
