Are you a "people person"? Would you like to use your interpersonal skills, in combination with your writing and design skills, to influence public opinion and shape perceptions?

As a public relations or advertising professional, your role will be to confidently and creatively persuade the public to embrace the values, products and services of a corporation or organization.

The Public Relations and Advertising major concentration will equip you with the skills in professional writing, digital design, interpersonal and intercultural communication, audience analysis, and marketing research to be successful in influencing others through public relations and advertising techniques.

Reinhardt's proximity to the metro Atlanta area, with its more than 250 agencies, provides opportunities for internships and employment in an exciting and fast-paced industry.

As a graduate, you'll have a real edge:

  • The knowledge of how to create understanding and promote trust between organizations and their audiences (customers, suppliers, employees, etc.)
  • Technical and creative skills and hands-on experience
  • The means to promote an organization's image, reputation, and product
  • Opportunities to strategically address an organization's future and vision

A minor in PR/Advertising is also available.
