Requirements for initial admission to the MAT program:
The MAT Program in Early Childhood Education encourages you to apply early. New students are only accepted during fall term; the next entry point will be fall of 2015.
When your MAT application and documentation are received, the MAT Admissions Committee will evaluate your application.
To be considered for initial admission to Reinhardt University and the MAT program, applicants must meet the following requirements:

Complete and submit an Application for Admission (PDF). Submit the $50 application fee (waived if the application is received before May 1, 2015). Please call the Office of Graduate Studies at 770-720-5797 or e-mail GradStudies@reinhardt.edu if you have any questions about the application.
- Bachelor's Degree Transcript
Submit an official transcript that documents your bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited college or university with a minimum 2.50 grade-point average (GPA) or greater than 3.0 GPA in the last 60 credits.
Submit a copy of the original GACE Reporting Score Form that officially documents a passing score on the GACE Program Admissions Assessment in Reading, Mathematics and Writing. NOTE: If you scored at least 1000 on the Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT), a combined ACT score of 43 on English and mathematics, or a Graduate Record Examination (GRE) score of 1030 (if taken before 8/1/11) or 297 (if taken after 8/1/14), you are exempt from taking the GACE Program Admissions Assessment. However, you must submit documentation of SAT, ACT, or GRE test scores to verify your exemption. For more GACE information, visit their website at http://www.gace.nesinc.com/.
Submit a criminal background check from the county sheriff's office where you reside.
Note: The Criminal Background Check should be submitted within 90 days of the beginning of the semester in which you plan to begin classes. You may be accepted to the MAT program contingent upon an acceptable background check.
