This program is begin revised to conform to recent certification changes made by the Georgia Professional Standards Commission (GaPSC). The Office of Graduate Studies will begin accepting Fall 2016 M.Ed. applications in the Fall of 2015.
The next entry point for new students will be August 2016.
To be considered for initial admission to Reinhardt University and the Master of Education in Special Education, M.Ed./SPED program, applicants must submit the documents listed below. The documents, or the forms that should accompany the application, will be added to this page once the program revisions are complete.
When your M.Ed. application and all documentation are received, the M.Ed. Admissions Committee will evaluate your application.
An online application is required. Submit the $50 application fee (waived if the application is received before May 1, 2016).
Submit an official transcript that documents a baccalaureate education degree from an accredited institution with an undergraduate cumulative grade point average (GPA) of at least a 2.75 (on a 4.0 scale).
Submit résumé to provide documentation of education, teaching experience, volunteer and service accomplishments, and a record of leadership activities (must reflect ONE year of current full-time classroom experience).
Submit recommendation form from your current principal.
Submit statement to provide documentation of your professional strengths, abilities, experiences, and career goals.
Submit proof of certification in Special Education, General Curriculum.
Submit a letter as a commitment to enter and complete the program within the two year, fall to spring period (must be employed as a classroom teacher or paraprofessional for the duration of the program).
Submit signed registration form to officially register for M.Ed. classes.
