Connecting to the Reinhardt Wireless network with Windows XP (as of June 2012)

First off, bring up the list of Wireless Networks.

(In my examples here, the new login is assigned to the Reinhardt2 network that I'm using for testing the new login method.  When you connect, you will be connecting to the Reinhardt network, not to Reinhardt2.)

Click on the Reinhardt network, then click Change advanced settings over in the left hand column.  That will bring up the Wireless Network Connection Properties box.

Click the tab at the top for Wireless Networks

In the Preferred Networks section, click the Reinhardt network so that it's highlighted, then click the Properties button

(If you don't see Reinhardt listed, you will need to manually add it.  All you have to do is click the "Add" button, then in the Properties window, put the word "Reinhardt" in the Network name(SSID) box, then continue following the instructions below)

Set the Network Authentication to be WPA, and set the Data encryption to be AES.  Then click on the Authentication tab

Set the EAP type to be Protected EAP (PEAP).  If either of the two check boxes are checked, uncheck them.  Then click on the Properties button

Uncheck the box for Automatically use the Windows logon name.

Click the "OK" button on all of the different windows until you get back to your desktop.

Now bring up the list of available wireless networks again and connect to Reinhardt.  After a few seconds you will get a box asking you for your username and password.  Put in the same username and password you've been using for the webpage login and you will be connected.
