11/22/04 - Reinhardt to Host Book Signing for Waleska Mayor Marguerite Cline '58 - Community Invited to Attend
On Dec. 1, 2004, Reinhardt College will host a book signing for I've Been Thinking,
a compilation of columns written by Waleska mayor Marguerite T. Cline, a
life-long educator, civic leader and a member of Reinhardt's Class of
1958.
 The
book signing will be held on the upper floor of the Hill Freeman
Library and Spruill Learning Center at 2:30 p.m. Community members are
invited to attend the program, which will include remarks from Cline about life in Georgia and the writing process. Areception will follow.
Shawn
Tonner, Director of the Hill Freeman Library and Spruill Learning
Center, who is planning the event, and others at the College are looking
forward to the event.
Reinhardt President Dr. J. Thomas Isherwood describes the event as "an occasion
to celebrate the creativity of our alumna, Mayor Cline. It is one small
way for her friends at Reinhardt to say 'thank you' for all she has
done for her community and for her alma mater," he said.
JoEllen
Wilson, Reinhardt vice president for external affairs, has known Cline
for many years, and suspects the book will provide a moving look at
Cherokee County and its personalities. "Marguerite has such a wonderful
gift with words and with people, and she's always been so generous to
share her talents through her writings and her activities. I suspect
I'll snatch up a book for a special someone on my Christmas list."
