Will Alumnus Han Rueffert '91 be "The Next Food Network Star?"

Hans Rueffert, Class of '91, is one of eight original finalists for The Next Food Network Star, a show which began airing on The Food Network on June 5, 2005.

On the network's web site - Foodnetwork.com - he is called "a family restauranteur;" he was the chef at the Woodbridge Inn in Jasper, Ga., for many years and he still helps out when he can.  His parents have owned The Woodbridge Inn since 1977, and as it said on the show, many of his fond childhood memories involve working in the kitchen.

Rueffert is now the news director at ETC3, a locally owned and operated cable network headquartered in Ellijay, Ga., which serves Gilmer, Pickens, Cherokee, Fannin, and Polk counties in north central Georgia.  Part of his duties include hosting, writing and producing the cable show, North Georgia Now.  He lives in nearby Talking Rock, Ga.
