See the True Meaning of Christmas in "The Gift of the Magi" - to be presented at Reinhardt College on Dec. 13, 2005 - posted 10/27/05

O’Henry’s classic, “The Gift Of The Magi,” will be performed at Reinhardt College’s Falany Performing Arts Center on Dec. 13, 2005, at 8 p.m.  The delightful holiday performance has been planned with families and children, age kindergarten to fifth grade, in mind.

bringing the art of theatre to children and families. 

In the play, Jim and Della, a struggling Irish immigrant couple with limited resources struggle to buy one another a Christmas gift.  Set in New York in 1906, the unforgettable play shows the audience the true meaning of giving, sacrifice and love.

“It was amazing to see how just two performers could hold 5th -8th graders spellbound for almost an hour," said Leslie Russo of Cary, N.C.  "In this age of special effects and computer enhancements, it was wonderful to see the imagination at work.”
