“Mr. Hasty brings to his new
role as chairman of the Board of Trustees a deep appreciation
for the distinctive qualities of Reinhardt College. He is a
living example of the close ties that bind together this very
special College and all of Cherokee County. I look forward to
being guided by his wisdom as we continue to nurture Reinhardt's
growth while we protect and maintain our commitment to its
values,” said Reinhardt College President Dr. J. Thomas
Isherwood.
In addition to himself and
his wife, Linda, (a 1990 graduate of Reinhardt), many members of
Hasty’s family have ties to Reinhardt, and he, his wife and his
mother, Mrs. Hazel Hasty honored those ties in August 2005 with
a $1.5 million gift to the College’s $15 million Capital
Campaign – “Confirming Our Commitment”. Both Hasty and his
wife, Linda, also serve as co-chairs of the Capital Campaign.
