The Norman W. Paschall Office of Campus
Ministry at Reinhardt College in Waleska, Ga., is sponsoring a
Spaghetti Fund Raiser on Wed., Feb. 8, 2006, from 5 – 7:30 p.m.
in the fellowship hall of the Hagan Chapel (Waleska United
Methodist Church). All donations contributed for the meals will
be used to sponsor student participation on the College’s Spring
Break Mission trip from March 4 – 11, 2006.
Each meal will include meat or vegetarian
spaghetti, garlic bread, salad, dessert and tea. Take-out
plates are also available.
“Enjoying a delicious spaghetti dinner is
a great way to help us help the folks still dealing with the
everyday aftermath of Katrina,” said the Rev. Leigh S. Martin,
the Reinhardt College Chaplain. “Not everyone can leave their
homes, families and jobs to work on the Coast, but you can come
enjoy a good dinner and know that what you spend will be used to
help others.”
Twenty-eight Reinhardt students, faculty
and staff will be going to Pascagoula, Miss., on the mission
trip. The destination of the trip was changed to the Gulf Coast
from the Bahamas when the extent of the hurricane damage first
became known. College students, faculty and staff has sponsored
other efforts to assist Katrina victims including a car wash,
numerous food and school supply drives, and participation in the
first post-Katrina Habitat for Humanity build in December 2005. |
