At their fall meeting,
Reinhardt’s Board of Trustees voted to increase the College’s
Capital Campaign goal by $2 million, thus upping the goal to $17
million.
“The response to the campaign has been a blessing for Reinhardt,
and we wanted give as many people as possible the opportunity to
get involved,” said Reinhardt President Dr. J. Thomas Isherwood.
“We’ve already raised more than $12 million in gifts and
pledges, and we still have friends, as well as our alumni,
faculty and staff, who haven’t yet been asked to participate.
For those reasons, I recommended that we raise our goal, and our
trustees enthusiastically supported the increase.”
The College’s “Confirming Our Commitment“ campaign was announced
in August 2005. In addition to funding the new Hasty Student
Life Center, the Campaign will also boost scholarships, enhance
academic programs, endow the Falany Performing Arts Center and
the Funk Heritage Center, and renovate the historic Burgess
Administration Building.
