Reinhardt Welcomes Record Number of New Students
Reinhardt's
Main Campus in Waleska, Ga., was more crowded than usual on Monday,
Aug. 21 for the first day of classes. The College welcomed 373 new
students for the 2006-07 academic year; a record number for the
institution! Total enrollment stands at 1,064 students, which was well
above the College's admissions goals. Residence halls on the Main Campus
are also at capacity with 474 residents.
"These
numbers show what we here at Reinhardt already know, our College is a
vital and exciting place to be and more and more students are
discovering that," said Reinhardt President Dr. J. Thomas Isherwood.
New
and returning students have three new degree programs offered to them
this fall semester. The Price School of Education now offers English
education and biology education for grades six through 12, and a music
education program for pre-school through 12th grade.
"These
programs are fulfilling a well-established need from our students. We
are excited to offer these opportunities in our education program," said
Dr. Robert Driscoll, vice president of academic affairs and dean of the
College.
Construction on the new Hasty Student Life
Center also provides excitement for the campus, as the $4.5 million
building is underway with a planned completion date of May 2007. Return to Previous Page
