Reinhardt College Alumni Invited to Celebrate Homecoming ’08 on Saturday, Feb. 16, 2008

Catch the Eagle spirit during Reinhardt’s Homecoming Day on February 16, 2008. The Alumni Association at Reinhardt College invites alumni to return to their alma mater to join in the Homecoming festivities.

“Homecoming has traditionally been one of our most popular events,” explained Bill Popp, Reinhardt’s athletic director and head baseball coach. “I expect that with the addition of our alumni gatherings this year, it will be better than ever!”

Alumni Athletic Events

The day will get started with the Alumni Basketball Game at 11 a.m. in the James & Sis Brown Athletic Center. Former Eagles and Lady Eagles basketball players will hit the court in head-to-head competitions. From the sidelines, former Reinhardt cheerleaders will get the crowd going and cheer for their teams.

Following the Alumni basketball games, the College’s Athletic Department and Alumni Association will host a Reunion of Alumni Athletes at 1 p.m. in the James & Sis Brown Athletic Center. The gathering is open to alumni who participated in any intercollegiate sport, including cheerleading and dance team, at Reinhardt.

“Alumni are invited to come out and support the Lady Eagles softball team as they get their season underway,” said DeeJay Jackson, Reinhardt’s director of alumni relations.

The Reinhardt women and men’s basketball teams will then show off their skills against the Running Hornets of Southern Polytechnic State University. The Lady Eagles basketball team will play at 2 p.m. in the James & Sis Brown Athletic Center, followed by the Eagles basketball team at 4 p.m. The Reinhardt Homecoming Court will be presented between games.
