Below is additional information regarding the April 26, 2008, incident
on Reinhardt’s Waleska, Ga., campus:
A Reinhardt College public safety officer responded to a
complaint about a disorderly student, allegedly intoxicated and
making threats, early Saturday morning (April 26, 2008). The
public safety officer appropriately assessed and controlled the
situation. He asked for and received assistance from local law
enforcement. During the investigation it was learned that the
vehicle the student was driving contained firearms, and the
Sheriff’s deputy arrested the student. The student in question
was removed from campus.
Reinhardt College Public Safety and local law enforcement worked
together effectively to handle the situation in accordance with
College policies and procedures to ensure that there was no
threat to the safety of Reinhardt students, faculty or staff.
