EnhanceYour Creative Writing TalentAre you an aspiring poet, a detailed storyteller or a captivating songwriter, and you want to develop your creative writing skills? Then join Reinhardt�s summer course ENG 298: Introduction to Creative Writing, June 9- July 31 on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 11 a.m.- 1:20 p.m. Explore the Great OutdoorsIf your children enjoy exploring nature, make it a fun and guided learning experience at Reinhardt's Funk Heritage Center. The Funk Heritage Center is offering "Exploring Nature," a day camp for children ages 8-12, June 17- 20 from 10 a.m.- 2:30 p.m. This four-day summer enrichment camp focuses on Georgia's wildlife, plants and water. Campers will participate in many hands-on activities and will take away valuable experiences. Improve Your Volleyball SkillsLearn from a group of the best�the Lady Eagles volleyball team will host "Skills to Kill," a volleyball day camp for girls in grades 4th-12th, June 2- 6 from 9 a.m.- 4 p.m. in the College�s James & Sis Brown Athletic Center. Participants will enjoy a full day of volleyball fun and instruction that will include morning warm-up, skills and station work and then individualized practice and daily competitions in the afternoon. Campers will be coached by the best coach and players in College's history -- Angela Monds, Southern States Athletic Conference (SSAC) Volleyball Coach of the Year, and team members who were awarded such honors as the SSAC 1st Team All Conference, 2nd Team All Conference and Freshmen of the Year. Celebrate with Patriotic MusicGet in the spirit for the Fourth of July with stirring patriotic music. On Sunday, June 29 at 3 p.m., the Atlanta Concert Band will present a concert of patriotic tunes at Reinhardt College's Falany Performing Arts Center. Enjoy a wonderful summer afternoon listening to moving pieces which recount our nation's struggles, including Ives' "Variations on America", Aaron Copeland's "Buckaroo" from Rodeo, Claude T. Smith's "Flight," the official march of the Smithsonian Institute's National Air and Space Museum, and much, much more. Join us for some musical fireworks as we celebrate this great country we call home! Exercise on Scenic TrailsEnjoy Reinhardt's scenic campus while exercising on the College's extensive bike and nature trails. As North Georgia is considered a mountain biking Mecca, it is fitting that Reinhardt College has a system of trails designed specifically for experienced mountain bikers. These exclusive trails take riders on a 5-mile system of interconnected trails located on College property, offering gorgeous views and excellent terrain for mountain biking, hiking and running. The trailhead of Reinhardt's mountain bike trails is located on Grady Street behind the James & Sis Brown Athletic Center. All trails are loop trails and return to the trailhead. Prior to riding, all users must sign Waiver & Release forms, which are available at the trailhead.
