Parker Named SSAC Offensive Player of the Week for Women's Soccer

Reinhardt College women’s soccer player Megan Parker, a 5-foot-7 junior forward from Thomaston, Ga., has been named the Southern States Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Week for her play from Sept. 8-14. It marks the first time she has received the honor.
 
Reinhardt went 1-1 last week with the loss coming to SSAC foe Lee University, ranked No. 3 nationally in the NAIA. In the Lady Eagles’ 5-1 win over NCAA Division II Brevard (N.C.) College last Saturday, Parker scored two goals and also had an assist.
 
On the season, Parker has started every game for Reinhardt, collecting six points (two goals and two assists).
 
The Lady Eagles, 3-1 overall on the year, will be at Covenant College for a non-conference match on Wednesday. The game is scheduled for 5 p.m. in Lookout Mountain, Ga.
