Reinhardt Basketball Programs Sponsor Canned Food Drive on Nov. 18
The Reinhardt College men’s and women’s basketball programs will hold a Thanksgiving canned food drive to benefit MUST Ministries of Cherokee County (Ga.) next Tuesday, Nov. 18 when the two teams play their first home games of the 2008-09 seasons. Anyone attending one of the games who brings three canned goods to the James & Sis Brown Athletic Center on the Reinhardt campus will receive a free Reinhardt Basketball T-shirt (while supplies last). The Southern States Athletic Conference doubleheader with Southern Wesleyan University begins with the women’s game at 6 p.m., followed by the men’s contest at 8 p.m. Admission is $5 for adults and $3 for students while Reinhardt students, faculty and staff, along with children ages 12 and under are admitted free. MUST Cherokee was established in 1998 and is located in Canton, Ga. MUST Cherokee currently serves those in need in our community with a food pantry, a clothing closet, financial assistance, translation assistance, and housing and seasonal programming.
