Bells Ferry Wal-Mart Donates $1,000 for Reinhardt College's A DAY Program
Don Rowland (left), Bells Ferry Wal-Mart community coordinator, presents a $1,000 check to Dr. J. Thomas Isherwood, Reinhardt College president, for the College's A DAY program. A DAY helps provide grants for Cherokee County students to attend Reinhardt.
The Bells Ferry Wal-Mart recently made a donation to Reinhardt College's 08-09 A DAY Program. The gift of $1,000 will help to fund the program's Cherokee County Grant, which provides scholarships/grants for Cherokee County students to attend Reinhardt College.
"The Bells Ferry Wal-Mart and Reinhardt College have developed a supportive relationship," said Barbara Manous, Reinhardt's director of fundraising and church relations. "This is the second year that this Wal-Mart has donated to Reinhardt's A DAY program - doubling its donation from the previous year. In appreciation for the continued support, a group of Reinhardt students will actively participate in Wal-Mart's Annual Walk/Run, which will be held in mid-September. We are thankful for the support of the College and are looking forward to participating in Wal-Mart's most worthwhile project."
