Reinhardt Names Local Alumna as New Director of Financial Aid
Angela Harlow '05 '08 has been selected as Reinhardt's new Director of Financial Aid. Harlow replaces Bob Gregory, who served in the position from June 2003 until his retirement this past December.
"I am very excited to move into this new role at Reinhardt," said Harlow. "The College holds a special place in my heart because, as well as having worked here for nine years, I was a student here, and I want our students to have the same great experience that I had. I welcome students, parents, faculty and staff to come by our office with any questions they may have."
Professional Experience Harlow brings more than nine years of experience in financial aid and higher education to the position. She previously served the College as an admissions administrative assistant from June 2000- October 2001; as an admissions and financial aid administrative assistant from October 2001- May 2002; and as a financial aid counselor from May 2002- March 2010.
"She has realized the Reinhardt potential." "I am particularly pleased with Angie's willingness to accept this appointment because she has, in her own life, realized the Reinhardt potential," said Bob McKinnon, Reinhardt vice president for finance and administration. "She completed her associate's degree on the Waleska campus and then her bachelor's degree three years later at the North Fulton center, all while working full-time and beginning a family. She is very knowledgeable of federal and state financial aid regulations, and also understands the situations our students are in because she has been there herself. She is one of our own, and I anticipate great things from Angie's appointment."
Background Harlow earned an Associates in Business Administration from Reinhardt in 2005 and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Reinhardt in 2008. She has served on Reinhardt's Alumni Board of Governors since August 2009. Harlow is also a 1997 graduate of Cherokee High School.
She currently resides in Ball Ground, Ga. with her husband, Chris, and two children, Emma and Tate.
