Reinhardt College Students Teach Financial Literacy at Porter Academy
Team members from Reinhardt College's Students in Free Enterprise, SIFE, chapter recently visited Porter Academy in Roswell, Ga., to address financial literacy topics.
Tina Boosel, a business instructor at Reinhardt and one of SIFE's co-advisors, said, "The SIFE team worked with two classes with children from ages 5-9. They studied currencies from different countries, learned what a gift card is and how to use it, how and why to use coupons, how a bank works, the importance of saving money, and the value of the different denominations of money."
Reinhardt's SIFE team will be competing in April 2010 at the regional SIFE competition, and this project will be part of their presentation.
