at 01:00 AMBettis Named AAC Defensive Player of Week for Women's Soccer
Reinhardt played just one game last week, a 1-0 AAC win over Montreat College. Bettis was in goal for all 90 minutes in recording the Lady Eagles' shutout. She was credited with four saves.
On the season, Bettis has been a part of four shutout victories and made 45 saves for Reinhardt. She has played in 11 games with 10 starts, and currently ranks second in the AAC with a 1.03 goals-against average.
The Lady Eagles are 6-6 overall this season and 2-2 in the AAC. Reinhardt will face the King College Lady Tornado in a non-conference match this Saturday at 2 p.m. in Bristol, Tenn.
Reinhardt College women's soccer player Chelsea Bettis has been named the Appalachian Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Week for her play from Oct. 12-18, 2009. It marks the first time Bettis has received the weekly conference honor.Return to Previous Page
