Job title: Assistant Professor of English and Theatre.
What I really do: Teach a variety of English and Theatre courses and direct Reinhardt College Theatre productions every semester.
Years at Reinhardt: 3.
I came to Reinhardt because: It offered me an ideal environment to teach and explore all of my areas of interest.
One thing I would change about Reinhardt: I would build a large theatre complex.
I was born in: West Palm Beach, Florida.
People describe me as: That would depend on who was being asked…
Most colleagues don’t know that: Well, until the most recent Hootenanny, they didn’t know I was a clogger for ten years.
Favorite things to do: Read a book, listen to music, prepare a delicious meal.
Favorite quote: “We’re actors. We are the opposite of people.”
Proudest accomplishment so far: Founding and running the Palm Beach Shakespeare Festival for twenty years.
Pet peeve: I have a pathological dislike of people who chew gum audibly.
Best advice ever received: “Stand dumb and speak not.”
Best advice for new faculty and staff: Meet and get to know everyone on campus.
What I most want to contribute to students: An appreciation of whatever it is we’re talking about that day.
The book everyone should read: Tristan Egolf’s Lord of the Barnyard.
The movie everyone should watch: The Princess Bride.
The person dead or alive I’d most like to meet: Mozart.
The place I’d love to travel to: Anywhere in Scandinavia.
Although you didn’t ask, I’d like to tell you anyway: Publix is, like, the best grocery store EVER.
