Jennifer Fulghom has joined the Reinhardt University athletic department as its head cheerleading coach. She is responsible for directing all aspects of Reinhardt’s coed cheerleading program, which offers athletic aid to qualified student-athletes.
“I am very excited and honored for the opportunity to coach a great group of student-athletes, and am ready to move the Reinhardt University program to the next level,” Fulghom said. “Cheerleading and coaching are great passions of mine. I have always been told that if you follow your passion, success will surely follow.”
Since 2008, Fulghom has worked for Varsity Brands Inc., serving as a sales representative for cheerleading and dance apparel. Prior to that, she was employed in the media/communications field by Atlanta companies Mediaedge and OMD.
Fulghom was a cheerleader at Georgia College & State University, an NCAA Division II member in Milledgeville, where she was a part of two squads that earned national runner-up honors. She was also involved in competition cheerleading throughout high school. After graduating from Southland Academy in Americus, Ga., she made the Dean’s List every semester at Georgia College, finishing with a 3.45 grade-point average and a Bachelor of Science degree in psychology in 2005.
Fulghom is originally from Montezuma, Ga., but now makes her home in Canton. She is a member of the American Association of Cheerleading Coaches and Administrators and the Georgia Cheerleading Coaches Association.
