The 2nd Annual Reinhardt Athletics Golf Tournament is scheduled for Tuesday, Oct. 18 at Callahan Golf Links in Waleska, home of the Eagles and Lady Eagles golf teams. Proceeds from the event benefit the sports programs at Reinhardt University.
Led by tournament chairman Jay Wallace, a Reinhardt alumnus, the event awards several prizes, including those for winning teams, a putting contest, closest to the pin and the longest drive. Automobiles may also be won for a hole-in-one and there are many raffle prizes available.
The Fort Lauderdale system will be used and all players receive a golf shirt, range balls and a box lunch. A shotgun start takes place at 10:15 a.m.
Players are needed and there are several sponsorship opportunities available. To support Reinhardt and its athletic programs as a player or sponsor, please download the tournament brochure, which includes a registration form. Online registration is also available. With the recent addition of football, Reinhardt now sponsors 16 intercollegiate sports teams, including eight for men and eight for women, along with a coed cheerleading squad. All 17 programs offer athletic aid to qualified student-athletes. Most of the teams compete as members of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) and the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC).
