Day Hike at Cloudland Canyon State Park

Sunday, September 11th

Located on the western edge of Lookout Mountain, this is one of the most scenic parks in the state, offering rugged geology and exceptional hiking. The park straddles a deep gorge cut into the mountain by Sitton Gulch Creek, and elevation differs from 800 to 1,980 feet.

Planned hike is 5 mile West Rim trail which is rated moderate with some strenuous sections.

Trip Fee: $10 students, $12 faculty/staff.
Sign-up/Payment Deadline: 5:00 PM on Thursday, September 8th.
Pre-trip meeting: 7:30 PM on Thursday, September 8th – Reinhardt Central

Please Note: Once you have made your reservation online you will need to pay the Trip Fee in the Business Office located on the main floor of the Burgess Administration Building before the deadlines stated above.  Pre-trip meetings are mandatory unless prior arrangements have been made with RU Outdoors Staff.
