Cobb, Quast Named AAC Players of Week, Respectively, for Men’s and Women’s Tennis
Reinhardt University men’s tennis player Andrew Cobb and women’s tennis player Cassie Quast were each named the Appalachian Athletic Conference Player of the Week for their play from April 9-15. Cobb has earned the weekly conference honor twice this season while Quast has received the award three times.
Cobb, a 5-foot-9, 225-pound junior from LaFayette, Ga., went 2-0 at both No. 1 doubles and No. 3 singles as Reinhardt won two road matches last week. On the season, he is 7-4 in singles and 6-5 in doubles.
A 5-foot-5 sophomore out of Chatsworth, Ga., Quast also posted 2-0 records at the top doubles position and No. 2 singles as the Lady Eagles played two matches away from home in the past week. Quast is 8-4 in singles and 6-6 in doubles this year.
The Reinhardt men’s team is 4-7 overall and 2-0 in the AAC while the Lady Eagles are 2-10 overall, including 0-2 in conference play. Both Reinhardt squads play AAC matches at Tennessee Wesleyan College on Monday. The matches are scheduled for 2 p.m. in Athens, Tenn.
