Honor Cords

honor cordsReinhardt University awards Latin honors to baccalaureate degree graduates.  Summa cum laude, magna cum laude and cum laude honors will be determined by the overall cumulative grade-point averages (GPA) (including course work attempted prior to enrolling at Reinhardt) at the end of spring 2014 session I grade processing. 

Graduates receiving Latin Honors will be notified by letter. 

Honorees will wear an honor cord with their regalia at the baccalaureate and commencement ceremony.

Honor cords will be distributed by the Registrar’s Office from April 21 – May 1, 2014.

Honor cords will not be distributed on the morning of commencement.

Latin honors, are as follows:

  • Summa cum laude (3.90 - 4.00)
  • Magna cum laude (3.60 - 3.89)
  • Cum laude (3.30 - 3.59)
