Robert L. DriscollSchool Dean & Professor of Education rld@reinhardt.edu Office Phone: (770) 720-9196 Office: 304 Tarpley Profile A native of New York State, Dr. Robert Driscoll earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Education from the State University College at Brockport, his Masters in Education from Alfred University, and his Ph.D from Michigan State. He has nine years of teaching experience in both middle grades and high school, his major content area being History. He began his college teaching career at Oswego State University, where he was an assistant professor of education. It was during his stay there that he implemented the Team Supervision Project in Schenectady and Albany, New York. He then moved to the State University College at Fredonia where he became the Director of Field Experiences. From there he transitioned to Georgia State University where he functioned in the role of Director of Field Experiences and Extended Programs in the College of Education. In 1978, Dr. Driscoll became the founding dean for the College of Education at Kennesaw State University. He has served on several state and national commissions related to education and has published widely. In
2003, Dr. Driscoll accepted a position as the school dean for the Price
School of Education at Reinhardt College. He has worked diligently
with fellow faculty members to redesign the curriculum and helped the
PSOE program gain accreditation from the Georgia Professional Standards
Commission. He was awarded both the Reinhardt Mentor Award and the
Reinhardt Faculty Award in 2005. He is currently the president for the
Georgia
Association of Independent Colleges of
Teacher Education.
