Reed School Dean & Professor of Special Education tmr@reinhardt.edu Office Phone: (770) 720-9196 Office: 304 Tarpley Profile A native of Madison, Indiana, Dr. Thomas Reed earned his B.A. degree in Economics from Denison University in Granville, Ohio, his M.S.Ed. from Indiana University Southeast, and his Ed.D. in Special Education from Western Michigan University. He has five years of teaching experience in special education classrooms and three years served as an itinerant teacher for students with emotional-behavioral disorders. Dr. Reed joined the Reinhardt College family in July, 2007 after 26 years of service at Valdosta State University, Georgia. At Valdosta State he taught courses in special education and was assistant, associate, and interim dean of the College of Education at various times. His family includes Dr. Marsha Reed, who currently is enjoying the gorgeous North Georgia environment, son (Jeff), and daughter (Amy). Jeff lives with his family outside Columbus, Ohio. His wife Tanya and two children travel south several times a year and enjoy the excursions designed by Marsha. Amy lives in Utica, New York and enjoys traveling through upstate New York. |
