Oren Rozenblat was appointed to serve as Deputy Consul General
of Israel to the Southeastern US in October 2006. Prior to
joining the Consulate in Atlanta, he served as the Israeli
Consul in Kenya from 2003-2006.
Before joining the public sector as a diplomat,
Consul Rozenblat practiced law in Israel and in 1999 he became
the Israeli Bar committee’s youngest elected member. In 2002,
Consul Rozenblat retired from the private law practice he had
begun four years prior to join the public sector as a diplomat
with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. In his first position,
Consul Rozenblat served as a lawyer in the Ministry’s legal
department.
Prior to working as a lawyer in Israel and
completing his Bachelors and Masters degrees at Bar-Ilan
University in Law, Consul Rozenblat served in the Israel Defense
Force. He achieved the rank of captain in the Infantry and
served as deputy commander of a company and then as company
commander of cadets. In the reserves, Consul Rozenblat served as
Deputy Commander of an infantry company until his posting in
Kenya.
