Francisco Ortega will graduate May 2011 with a Bachelor in Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Information Technology.  Francisco is originally from Peru.  While attending Reinhardt, he has been involved in several hands-on projects that have further supported his learning in the classroom.  Francisco most recently completed an internship with Reinhardt University Information Technology where he worked to redesign the McCamish School of Business website. Francisco says, "This internship opportunity is rewarding because it provides me with real work experience. It also gives me an opportunity to apply all the skills I have learned during my time at Reinhardt into real work situations”.

Prior to Francisco’s internship, he designed two different T-shirts for the University.  He has also been a member of the Reinhardt Soccer team, SIFE (Students in Free Enterprise) club, and a soccer coach for Cherokee County.  Francisco has received multiple awards while attending Reinhardt.  He was named the 2010 McCamish School of Business Student of the Year, he received the 2010 McCamish School of Business Leadership Award, he was given the 2010 Elite NAIA students-athlete award, he has been named to Dean’s List four different times, and he is a recipient of The Goizueta Foundation Scholars Fund Award. Francisco plans on working in the information technology field where he can utilize his web and graphic design skills. 

In a recent interview, Francisco had this to say about his experiences while studying at Reinhardt University, “I have enjoyed Reinhardt University mainly because it gives every student the opportunity to really get involved in different activities.  After being here for four years I can truly say that I will miss many things from my friends and soccer to being able to develop professionally through my classes and several other activities.”
