The Reinhardt University SIFE (Students in Free Enterprise) team won first place in their league at the regional competition in Atlanta, Ga. on April 4, 2011 and are headed to the national competition in Minneapolis, Minn., May 10 - 12. This is the first time Reinhardt’s SIFE team has made it to nationals; the team placed 1st runner-up last year.
The SIFE competition allows students to utilize their public speaking abilities to promote their projects for the current year. Students have 20 minutes to present their projects to SIFE partner judges (companies such as Home Depot, AFLAC, Walgreens, etc). The competition also has a large job fair sponsored by SIFE partners where students can research job and internship openings. Several of our graduating seniors last year were chosen for interviews and one of our students was offered multiple jobs from the job fair. The event is a great way for college students to showcase their work and hopefully find a job to match their skills.
