What Type of Music Degrees does Reinhardt Offer?

The Eulene Holmes Murray Department of Music offers several degree options:

Bachelor of Music (B.M.)

Students in the Bachelor of Music program may choose between concentrations in Performance or Sacred Music.

• Performance: prepares students for careers in concert, music theater, or opera performance. While classical training is emphasized, the student will be well prepared to perform in a variety of styles and genres. 
• Sacred Music: prepares students to direct church music programs including youth, adult, and handbell choirs and praise groups. 
• Elective Studies in Business: offer interdisciplinary preparation for a variety of careers in the exciting challenging world of entertainment. These programs can be designed to include a variety of specialized skills in technology, media arts, and management
• Elective Studies in Media Arts: offer interdisciplinary preparation for a variety of careers in the exciting challenging world of entertainment. These programs can be designed to include a variety of specialized skills in technology, media arts, and management.

Many students with Bachelor of Music degrees choose to continue their studies by attending graduate school.

Bachelor of Music Education (B.M.E.)

The Bachelor of Music Education degree prepares students to join the ranks of professional educators in the elementary and secondary schools of Georgia. The degree program leads to certification by the State of Georgia.
