Reinhardt Students Participate in Judged Auditions for the Georgia Chapter National Association of Teachers of Singing

Reinhardt College voice majors joined other singers from around the state of Georgia for judged auditions on February 20 and 21, 2009, at Kennesaw State University. Soprano Jayme Dodd, a junior from Fairmont, Georgia, won Third Place in section B of Third Year College Women. Ms. Dodd is a student of Dr. Marilee David.

All participants are students of members of the National Association of Teachers of Singing, NATS. The Georgia Chapter of NATS has 105 members, most of whose students participate in these auditions. This year 412 high school, college, and private students participated in the Georgia auditions.

Participants are divided into classifications by gender and according to the number of years they have studied voice. All participants receive written comments from the judges, and winners receive monetary awards. Georgia NATS members judge categories in which their students are not participating.
