Dr. Francesco Strazzullo
Assistant Professor of Mathematics
“As a first-generation college graduate I understand the efforts of all my students and they and their families' sacrifices to obtain a higher education degree.”
Dr. Strazz is a newer faculty member in the Math department at Reinhardt University. He graduated in Italy, obtained his Ph.D. at Utah State University, and joined the Reinhardt family in August 2009.
Interaction Dr. Strazz likes to interact with his students during class time, exploring the textbook and working out math problems rising from real life situations: “I like to be sure that students know their textbooks: we work out problems together, and we agree on those parts of our textbook that have to be clear.”
Personal Growth He always points to the personal enrichment of each and every student: “Besides the topics to be covered in our syllabus, our department really considers critical thinking a basic learning outcome. Critical thinking is not just a mathematical matter; it is fundamental to the life of every person.”
Individual Care The small class size at Reinhardt is a big plus, according to Dr. Strazz: “I graduated from and I taught at very large institutions.” He said, "I know what it means to be just a number for the statistics, when you would like to be considered for your individuality. At Reinhardt I can give to each of my students the individual care they look for.”
