Do you enjoy helping others? Is the medical environment interesting to you? Do you enjoy being on your toes constantly, with a new challenge every day?
The Associate of Science (A.S.) in Pre-Nursing program at Reinhardt provides you with the knowledge and skill set needed to be successful in a Bachelor's Degree program at a variety of nursing institutions.
Steps to Your Success The Reinhardt College Pre-Nursing program is designed as the first step in working towards earning a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (B.S.N.) degree. It is not a two year technical degree.
Once you complete the academic core and nursing basics from Reinhardt, you will receive your Associate of Science (A.S.) degree.
You can then continue on to earn your B.S.N. degree at one of the several highly-esteemed Georgia nursing institutions with which Reinhardt has an articulation agreement.
Upon graduating from one of these programs and successfully completing the NCLEX (National Council Licensure Examination), you can receive licensure as an A.S., B.S.N. and R.N.
Interactive Classes As a nurse, your knowledgeable support is invaluable to the physician you work with. Courses in the Reinhardt Pre-Nursing program will engage, challenge and prepare you for such great responsibility.
Reinhardt’s pre-nursing courses are small, so you can develop personal relationships with your classmates and professors. The learning community at Reinhardt University allows you to get the individual attention you may need to succeed.
Unique Projects Outside of Class The Pre-Nursing program also encourages students to get involved in the community. Planned activities for Pre-Nursing majors include: volunteering with a local community for at-risk youth and working with girl's clubs as interest group leaders, activity guests, and in helping the girls earn their first aid badges.
Cooperative Arrangements with Other Schools Our agreement with Emory’s Woodruff School of Nursing gives Reinhardt graduates preferential access to the top clinical teaching school in the region. If you prefer a smaller more intimate environment, we also have an agreement with LaGrange College. Recent graduates have also continued their studies at Kennesaw State University, Medical College of Georgia, Georgia State University and Mercer.

"The Pre-Nursing program has been very supportive of me and my future goals," said Codi Rhear. "The faculty has always taken the time to help me with anything that I needed; They truly care about students and take pride in our achievements."
Codi traveled to Jeffrey’s Bay, South Africa with Adventures In Missions (AIM) to volunteer in a local medical clinic assisting nurses and building relationships with HIV/AIDS patients and in an after-school program working with children. He also served as a Campus Ministry Intern.
