School of Nursing and Health Sciences

Students must first apply for and meet criteria for general University Admission.  The application for admission can be found at www.reinhardt.edu/application.  You must also submit transcripts from every college or university previously attended.

To apply to the School of Nursing and Health Sciences, you must have completed 49 hours of general electives and associated prerequisites with a 3.0 GPA.  To apply:

  1. Complete the application to the School of Nursing and Health Sciences.
  2. Complete initial advising process with a nursing faculty member to establish readiness for the nursing program.
  3. Submit an essay describing your reason for pursuing a career in nursing.
  4. Submit documentation of successful completion of the nursing entrance exam Test of Academic Skills (TEAS exam).
  5. Successfully complete panel interview.
  6. Submit $25.00 nonrefundable application fee online, or at the business office on the main campus.

Prior to enrollment in your first nursing course, you must:

  1. Complete all 67 hours of general education/core requirements and associated pre-requisite courses with a 3.0 GPA.
  2. Obtain a minimum cumulative science GPA of 3.0 in the following courses:  Anatomy and Physiology I and II with labs, Introduction to Microbiology with lab, General Chemistry with lab, and Pathophysiology.  Science courses must be completed in the previous five years and can only be repeated once.
