Church Giving Program
Reinhardt College
cherishes its significant heritage, starting in 1883, and
continued relationship with the United Methodist Church.
Part of this
heritage is the Waleska UMC also known as "Hagan Chapel"
that was built on the campus by a Methodist
donor, Mrs. Blanche Hagan, who also endowed the Hagan Methodist
Students Scholarship Fund. Reinhardt College continues its
commitment as a Methodist affiliated College in Georgia by
offering a full tuition scholarship for children of Methodist
ministers, as well as, special scholarships for any qualified
Methodist student.
Since 1988, this
unique support of Methodist students has been made possible
through its endowed Hagan Scholarship Fund. Reinhardt’s
Ministerial Association is determined to expand the number of
Methodist students attending Reinhardt. In doing so, it has
become apparent there are limitations of this fund; therefore,
we must seek additional ways to enhance the funds available for
Methodist students.
With Reinhardt President Dr.
Tom Isherwood's full encouragement, all monies raised by the
Ministerial Association through the
Annual Fund Campaign
(AFC), "Ministerial
Honoree Scholarship" appeals and "Ministerial
Golf Outing," as well as "Unrestricted Scholarship
funds contributed by Methodist Churches or related groups or
individuals," will
be used to enhance the number and amount of Methodist student
scholarships and any student working to enter the ministry
full-time. The Ministerial Association has begun a
Church-Partnership Campaign to further embrace this important
Scholarship Program.
