Named for the year that Reinhardt was established, 1883 Club members show their appreciation for Reinhardt's unique experience. Anyone whose life has been touched by Reinhardt will tell you of the shared feeling of family and the rich tradition of excellence that resonates in this special place. Help generations of future students share these experiences.
Creating a Legacy
Perhaps you received scholarship assistance as a Reinhardt student? Today many students depend on University aid to meet educational costs. By joining the 1883 Club, you are not only commemorating the year of Reinhardt's establishment, you are giving back to the University and continuing the legacy of caring consistently.
"Giving back for everything Reinhardt gave me..."
Reinhardt alumni and friends have already taken advantage of this unique giving opportunity.
"I figured that if the cost of dinner out once a month could help other people have the same wonderful experience I had at Reinhardt, it would be well worth it," said Christopher Foster '06, Alumni Board of Governors member who recently joined the 1883 Club. "Because I work in the higher education field, I understand the importance of supporting colleges at this crucial time," he added. "With the economy the way it is, it is vital that we help keep the doors of Reinhardt University open and welcoming to future students."
"I saw the 1883 Club in the Alumni e-newsletter and I had been interested in it since I first heard about it," said Alumni Board of Governors Immediate Past President, Randell Trammell '03, '09. "Now I've 'fired the shot' and it is very easy, takes less than five minutes and is an awesome way to give back to Reinhardt."
Tim Teague '07 knew he would be attending Reinhardt after one visit. "Now I want to give back for everything Reinhardt gave me," he stated, fondly recalling his time on the Reinhardt men's basketball team and other memories of campus. "I hope that other alumni will sit back and think about how they are a better person because of the time they spent at Reinhardt and the things they learned." Tim was one of the first members of the 1883 Club.
