JoEllen received an Associate of Arts degree from Reinhardt, a Bachelor of Arts from Oglethorpe University and a Master of Education from Brenau University. She met her husband at Reinhardt and also sent their sons to Reinhardt, where they met their wives. "Ours is a true Reinhardt 'shoe factory' story," JoEllen says. "Reinhardt produces in pairs!" She came to the College in 1981 and served as a part-time Alumni Director and served as Alumni Director before transferring to the President's Office to serve as Special Assistant to the President during the Falany, Nevious and Isherwood transitions. She later became Vice President for External Affairs. As Vice President for Institutional Advancement and External Affairs, she oversees Development, Alumni, Marketing and Public Relations, Fund Raising and Funk Heritage Center departments.

 Janna Moore '04, Executive Administrative Assistant to the Vice President for Advancement
Janna graduated from Reinhardt College in 2004 with a Bachelor of Science in early childhood education. After teaching for one year, Janna furthered her education by enrolling at Gwinnett Technical College and received an Associate of Science degree in administrative office technology. She is responsible for the day-to-day administrative tasks for the Vice President and the offices within Institutional Advancement and External Affairs. Janna states "being back at Reinhardt is like coming home to family. I am fortunate to be able to work in such a great community."

Barbara L. Manous, Director of Annual Giving & Church Relations
Barbara has been with the Advancement Office at Reinhardt since 1996, but before that, she had volunteered for the College and had worked previously for Reinhardt in establishing a continuing education program in the late '80s. Currently, she oversees the Annual Fund Campaign and its many components such as the Dave Henritze Scholarship Golf Classic and A DAY for Reinhardt. Barbara is originally from Marietta, Ga.

Erin Honea, Assistant Director of Annual Giving & Information Services
A native of Cherokee County, Erin joined the Reinhardt community in 2008 after graduating from Kennesaw State University with a Bachelor of Science in communications. As Development Information Services Officer, Erin provides data base support for the Office of Institutional Advancement and other offices on campus. She is also responsible for donor records, stewardship and donation management. "I am so excited to be working for an institution that gives back to the community that is so close to my home as well as my heart," she says.

Kelley Johnson, Assistant Director of Annual Giving & Grants
Kelley joined Reinhardt in July 2010. She has more than eight years experience in higher education and performing arts fundraising including time as an annual fund manager, a gift processor and a grants writer. She has a Bachelor of Business Administration in marketing from the University of Georgia and a Master of Business Administration from Belmont University. "I am delighted to join the Reinhardt team and help it serve the needs of its students and the community," she says.

Jim has a long history of service to Reinhardt, whether as an employee or volunteer since 1975. His brother, The Rev. Dr. Allen O. Jernigan, served as Reinhardt's 16th President (1973 to 1984). After Jim's retirement, (38 years with Sears Roebuck & Co.) he spent four years as a volunteer with The Atlanta Executive Service Corp. assisting non-profit agencies. In his role at Reinhardt now, he works with the Reinhardt Ministerial Association, including the Ministerial Golf Outing, along with other development projects. A native of Atlanta, Jim graduated from Emory University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Law. "To me, " Jim says, "there is nothing more satisfying than enhancing the lives of current and future students by providing needed assistance and furthering their growth in Christian faith throughout their learning experience at Reinhardt."

Karen Smithwick, Administrative Assistant to the Director of Annual Giving & Church Relations
Karen is a lifelong Cherokee County native who came out of retirement to work at Reinhardt in February 2006. She was familiar with the college because both of her daughters were Reinhardt students. Prior to Reinhardt, Karen worked for AIG for twenty years, where she was an account manager for AIG Claim Services and managed large commercial accounts. Karen feels she is so fortunate to have a job that she loves. "The staff and faculty at Reinhardt have made me feel so welcome," she says. "I definitely feel like part of the Reinhardt family."
