STOP HUNGER THIS MONTH!
On November 1, we need 100 students, faculty, and staff to package 10,000 meals in one hour for a campus-wide service project called Stop Hunger Now! Reinhardt is joining with other United Methodist Colleges and Universities around the state to Stop Hunger Now. Our local projects will have a global impact.
In order to package 10,000 meals we need volunteers, as well as, raise $2,500 by November 1.
How can you help?
1. Volunteer for one hour on Thursday November 1 from 3:30-4:30 and feed thousands.
2. Donate to Stop Hunger Now and we'll send a Halloween treat to a co-worker(s) of your choice. Click here to "Treat a Co-Worker."
3. Simply write a check to "Stop Hunger Now" Put your check in inner-office mail to Rev. Leigh Martin, Hasty 308.
Stop Hunger Now is an international hunger relief agency that has been fulfilling its commitment to end hunger for more than 13 years. The organization coordinates the distribution of food and other lifesaving aid to children and families in countries all over the world. Stop Hunger Now's meal packing program includes allows volunteers to easily assemble the rice, soy, dehydrated vegetables and a flavoring mix including 21 essential vitamins and minerals into small meal packets. Each meal costs only 25 cents. The food stores easily, has a shelf-life of five years and transports quickly. Meals are sent primarily to school feeding programs all over the world.
