Holy
Week
The resurrection of Jesus makes all the
difference. Christ took our sin upon Him. He bore it all on the Christ
of Calvary. This means that all we have to do is resurrect our old ways
and die out to the love and practice of sin. Indeed Christ is risen.
What He did is enough to cover our sins, set us free, and liberate us
from our past. Christ gave His life for us and through His resurrection
He took away the sting of death, the victory of the grave, and the sin
that would have separated us from God.

I invite you to chapel
today where we will relive the Jesus’ final moments and wait for a word
of hope.
This week is Holy
Week. Holy Week began on Palm Sunday with Jesus’ triumphal entry into
Jerusalem and will end with his resurrection on Easter. The events that
occurred between these two occasions are the darkest moments for
Christ’s followers. For it is between Jesus’ entering Jerusalem and his
resurrection, that our Lord Jesus is crucified on the cross and his
disciples fear the worst, but hold out for a word of hope.
Today is Maundy
Thursday, which means, “A new commandment.” This day begins our three
day period of waiting for a word of hope, which we will find on Easter
morning. We cannot fully appreciate the joy of Easter morning, without
taking the time to consider the sacrifice that Christ made for us on the
cross.
Peace and Blessings,
