Assistant Professor of Chemistry

Reinhardt University invites applications for the position of Assistant Professor of Chemistry. The position is a 9-month, tenure-track position and will start August 13, 2018.  Primary duties include teaching 15 contact hours per term, advising students, serving on faculty standing committees, University committees, and ad hoc task forces, working collegially with colleagues to develop academic curricula and enrichment activities, conducting research, exhibiting creative work or giving performances, and assisting with academic program assessment, among other duties.

Qualifications

By the date of the hire the candidate must have earned at least a master’s degree in Chemistry from a regionally accredited institution of higher learning, with at least 18 graduate credit hours in organic and inorganic chemistry.  A doctorate in Chemistry is preferred. Candidates should show a record of successful experience teaching, advising, and contributing to knowledge in one’s academic discipline.
