Dr. Kina S. Mallard, Reinhardt University President

Reinhardt President Dr. Kina S. Mallard introduced the program in fall 2016, with 10 freshmen being invited to join.

“A women’s leadership program is something I have been wanting to do for a long time and the timing seemed right at Reinhardt,” Mallard said. “One of the things that any 18-year-old needs coming to college is confidence. Reinhardt does a great job in leadership development for both men and women, but this is an extra opportunity for young women to be exposed to successful women in a diversity of fields and to develop relationships with them.”

Mallard feels that her role as a female president offered a great opportunity to lead a competitive scholarship leadership program for female students.
